Having already secured their place in the last 16 of the Champions’ League, the aim for Leicester City in their last two group games is to secure the points required to win the group and

They couldn’t ask for better opposition than Club Brugge in their quest for another three points, with the Belgians looking out of their depth in the group stage after losing all four games to date.  They have already been eliminated from the Champions’ League as far as their hopes of making further progress is concerned and they have very little realistic hope of securing the consolation of a Europa League spot either.

Although they’ve only scored five goals in their four group games, the Foxes have still to concede a single goal.  That record should have every chance of continuing against a Brugge team that has only managed to score once in their four matches and are already all but guaranteed to finish bottom of the group.

Although, to no great surprise, Brugge are mounting a stronger defence of their domestic league title than Leicester, they are only fourth in the table ahead of Friday’s trip to Sint-Truiden, six points adrift of table-topping Zulte-Waregem.  They’ve lost four of seven away games in Belgium.

With qualification from the group already assured, Claudio Ranieri could be tempted to rotate his squad to a degree, particularly with their Premier League position giving some cause for concern ahead of their trip to Watford on Saturday.

Even allowing for that, Ranieri now has plenty of depth in his squad and he has another quality at his disposal that whatever starting XI he sends out, they should be capable of beating a team that has nothing left to play for but pride.

The Foxes are a best price of 4/9 to win the match, so it makes sense to look for a different angle from a betting perspective.  The best option could be to look at Leicester maintaining their record of yet to concede a goal in the competition by beating Brugge to Nil which is top priced 11/8 (2.38) at BetVictor
