Juventus v Real Madrid Past Meetings

Despite the rich history possessed by both clubs, these two had never clashed in a competitive match before 2003.

The pair have met ten times competitively with the Italians holding the edge with five wins and two draws, and are unbeaten in three.

The last meeting was the 2015 Champions League semi final, where Juventus triumphed 3-2 on aggregate with a goal in each leg from current Madrid striker Alvaro Morata proving decisive.

Juventus v Real Madrid Stats

Juventus are the only side to knock Real Madrid out of the Champions League in the past four seasons – the 2015 semi final. Madrid won the 2014 and 2016 tournaments.

Real Madrid have scored in each of their last 64 matches in all competitions – a European record run. The last time they failed to score was in a scoreless draw at Manchester City in last year’s semi final.

Juve have conceded only three goals in twelve Champions League matches this season.

Reason for Juventus v Real Madrid Bets

Champions League finals are always closely fought matches and this year’s edition pits the two current best European sides against each other.

Four of the past five finals in this competition have been tied at ninety minutes and it is reasonable to predict this one will too.

Juve have the tightest defence in Europe while Madrid are currently on the longest ever scoring streak by a European side, leading to a fascinating tactical tussle.

Odds of 11/5 are based on the full time score at 90 minutes, rather than extra time, and it is hugely generous for what is the most likely outcome of the tie.

Both sides would accept the outcome of the game going into extra time and penalties, especially Madrid who have triumphed in this fashion in two of the last three finals.

Cristiano Ronaldo has netted 14 goals in his last nine matches as he has hit top form – five goals in two matches against Bayern, a hat-trick against Atletico and doubles against Sevilla and Celta Vigo among his vital run.

The Portuguese star has faced Juventus four times in his career – all for Los Blancos – and scored five times.

Odds of him to continue both runs in this final are priced temptingly at 6/4 and would go precisely to form.
