Manchester United v Tottenham Past Meetings

Tottenham have won two of their last three meetings with United but have lost on each of their last three trips to Old Trafford and haven’t scored a goal in the process.

Last season, Spurs won their last match at White Hart Lane 2-1 after suffering a 1-0 reverse in Manchester earlier in the campaign.

Spurs have only won three of their last 36 meetings with the Red Devils in all competitions dating back to May 2001.

Manchester United v Tottenham Stats

Manchester United (4) have the joint best defensive record in the league and have kept the most clean sheets (7 from 9 games) while stretching back to May, they have 9 clean sheets from 11 league games.

Jose Mourinho’s side has the league’s second best attack (22 goals).

Spurs have won eight of their last ten games across all competitions, with draws against Swansea and Real Madrid the only small stumbling blocks in a superb run of form.

Manchester United v Tottenham Team News

United have somewhat of an injury crisis with Marouane Fellaini (knee ligaments), Michael Carrick (calf) Paul Pogba (hamstring), Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo (both knee ACL) all on the sidelines, although Phil Jones (hip) and Eric Bailly (groin) should be available.

Spurs are without Erik Lamela (hip) and Vincent Wanyama (knee) but may be able to welcome back Moussa Dembele (hip).

Reason for Manchester United v Tottenham Bbets

Home advantage has been decisive in this fixture in recent seasons – it has decided each of the last four encounters.

The North London’s side’s record at Old Trafford is generally poor and United have not lost at home in any competition since September 2016. They are favourites for this due to having home advantage and whilst they are not in form, they are in a stronger position to take full points.

In the last six meetings between these two sides, on only one occasion have both teams scored and the last two clashes at Old Trafford have been settled by a single goal.

These two have conceded only ten goals combined in 18 league outings and have two of the strongest three defensive records in the division.

United have ten clean sheets from their last 19 matches and are yet to concede a league goal at Old Trafford in six outings, with another low-scoring affair expected in this tussle.
