Hibernian v Queen of the South Betting Preview

Easter Road stadium in Edinburgh

Hibs v Queen Of The South predictions:

After stumbling in late September / early October, Hibernian have returned to form over the past month with 11 points from their last five games.  It’s starting to shape up as a straight fight between Hibs and Dundee United for the one automatic promotion spot to the Premiership.

By contrast, Queen of the South are a team on the slide after a fine start to the season and have now lost four league matches in succession, conceding 11 goals in the process.  They’ve also scored just one goal in their last six Championship fixtures, so they have issues at both ends of the pitch.

Hibernian have conceded just seven goals in 13 league matches this term, so it doesn’t look terribly encouraging for “The Doonhamers” at Easter Road.

Our Hibernian v Queen Of The South tips are:

  • Hibernian are best odds of 8/15 (1.53) with 888Sport to win, so the betting value could be in backing them to ‘Win to Nil’ at 6/4 (2.50) with bet365.
  • For a correct score, a 2-0 Hibernian win at 7/1 (8.00) with BetVictor could be worth consideration.
  • It might also be worth backing Jason Cummings for the first goalscorer market at 100/30 (4.30).  Cummings is the top scorer in the division with eight goals and has already scored the first match goal five times this season.
