In-play features heavily with William Hill as does football, they cover over 60,000 matches a year. And their bet selection is admirably deep too. Horse racing punters, for example, can not only back selections to win and each-way, they can also back ‘place only, ‘without the favourite’, in a ‘match bet’ and even with ‘insurance’ meaning stakes are returned if your selection does now win but finishes placed.
Bells & Whistles
Naturally a company the size of William Hill online has to feature ‘best odds guaranteed’ and ‘first past the post’ concessions. It also needs a ‘cash out’ feature and live pictures of football, horse racing and greyhound racing (to name a few). But it does not have to feature its own daily podcasts and radio station. Nevertheless William Hill have chosen to offer those extra features.
Their site also has a neat ‘bet calculator’, excellent ‘form guides’ and an ‘archived results’ section allowing you to see the outcome of scored of sports dating back several years.

Our Verdict – 9/10
Why are we giving William Hill a nine and not a perfect 10? Well, for us they have smashed every angle possible with the one exception of concessions, price enhancements and offers. Yes William Hill match their rivals in terms of the accepted punter allowances – ‘Best Odds Guaranteed’ for example – but in no areas do they trump them.
That one disappointment apart, William Hill cannot be faulted for their online Sportsbook which is brimming with great sports betting content, some unique William Hill betting offers, opportunities and free bets. Easy to understand and use, friendly customer service and concise betting slips, its one for day-in-day-out punters not looking for the odd treat to keep them sweet.
