REASON FOR BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION VS QPR BETTING TIPS
Brighton & Hove Albion v Queens Park Rangers is a Championship clash between two teams in very different form.
It’s been a hugely impressive 2016 for Brighton, losing just six of 46 Championship matches in the calendar year to date. When taking into account that they lost their first two fixtures of 2016, that’s an even more remarkable achievement.
The Seagulls are unbeaten in 16 league games and are hot on the heels of Newcastle United at the top of the Championship. Perhaps more importantly, they have a healthy eight-point cushion over 3rd placed Reading and, after three play-off failures in four seasons, they look well set for automatic promotion this time round. Brighton did have a dip in form this time last season, but they seem absolutely focused on the task in hand this term.
By contrast, QPR have lost five consecutive games going into their trip to the Amex Stadium, during which they’ve scored just one goal. That run includes back-to-back 1-0 defeats at home to Aston Villa and Derby County in their last two matches and leaves them just three points above the drop-zone at Christmas.
Brighton are available at a best price of 3/5 to win this game which, everything considered, isn’t the worst bet you’ll find this festive season. However, when taking into account the Seagulls superb defensive record (just 14 goals conceded in22 matches) and Rangers inability to find the back of the net recently, a Brighton win to nil looks even more appealing.
It may also be worth taking a look at Brighton on the Asian Handicap -1, which would result in a winning bet were they to prevail by any two-goal margin or more. Were they to win by any one-goal margin, you would at least have the compensation of getting your stake refunded in full.
A Brighton win with Under 3.5 Goals also looks reasonable at 23/20 with Betway, given that the Seagulls concede so few.
In terms of a correct score, a 2-0 home win at 6/1 with BetVictor would seem to be a very plausible outcome. If looking for a Brighton v QPR Anytime Goalscorer tip, then Glenn Murray has 14 goals this season and has to be worth consideration at 23/20 with Coral.
