FULHAM VS BRIGHTON PREDICTIONS
Brighton at 2/1 with Paddy Power
MATCH RESULT AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE:
Brighton and Yes at 9/2 with Betfair
2017 kicks off with an exciting clash in the Championship between in-form Fulham and top-of-the-table Brighton. Slaviša Jokanovi?’s side has not in December – even if they do have a tricky New Year’s Eve away trip to Reading to come – and they have been especially difficult to bear at Craven Cottage, with their last home defeat coming on the 1st of October. Also going in their favour is their short injury list, with Tomáš Kalas the only name currently on it.
Life is just as rosy for Brighton and Hove Albion, with Chris Hughton’s men sitting atop the table after winning their past four matches and having not lost in their last 15 outings. Liam Rosenior is an injury concern for them with an ankle issue, but there is a chance that Beram Kayal could be back. Kazenga Lua Lua, meanwhile, is still on the sidelines as he serves a six-match ban.
FULHAM VS BRIGHTON WINNER ODDS
Fulham are the favourites with the bookmakers, with their impressive form convincing the likes of Marathon Bet to price a home win at odds of 77/50.
However, it would be no surprise to see this one finish in an away victory. Fulham may be enjoying a good run of form, but this Brighton team looks unstoppable and they know exactly how to go about securing all three points, having won at Craven Cottage the past two seasons and having defeated Slaviša Jokanovi?’s men 2-1 in the reverse fixture in November. If they do secure the win then anyone backing Paddy Power’s 2/1 betting odds will be enjoying a profitable start to 2017.
FULHAM VS BRIGHTON VERDICTS
A bet on league leaders Brighton to get the job done in the English capital is one that many will be considering and the 2/1 odds make it especially enticing. An alternative – and more profitable – bet to consider, though, would be to bet on Brighton to win, but with both teams to score.
Fulham have netted the third most goals in the whole division and Brighton have conceded in their past two away games – while still winning both those games against Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers. So the 9/2 odds being offered by BetFair for Brighton to win, but with both teams getting on the scoresheet, should be even more attractive for anyone placing a bet on this Championship game.
