Leeds United v Nottingham Forest Past Meetings
This will be the 68th meeting between these two sides, with Leeds superior in the head-to-head record with 26 wins compared to Forest’s 20.
The last time the two sides met saw Leeds triumph 2-0 at The City Ground back in August, with Kemar Roofe and Ezdzhan Alioski both finding the net for the visitors.
The meeting between the two at Elland Road last season ended in a two-goal home victory thanks to goals from Chris Wood and Souleymane Doukara.
Before the most recent two clashes, Forest were unbeaten in eight games against Leeds, winning five of those.
Leeds United v Nottingham Forest Stats
Saturday’s defeat at Birmingham brought a six game unbeaten streak – which included five wins – to an end for Leeds.
Thomas Christiansen’s men have not got a particularly strong home record this season – collecting as many points on their travels (21) as at Elland Road, meaning their home record is the 11th strongest in the division.
Forest’s away form this season has been poor, losing seven of their last nine on the road in all competitions and only winning once in that spell.
They have lost five of their last seven matches in total, winning only once, in a run of form which has seen them fall to 14th in the standings.
Leeds have the 8th best attacking record in the standings, while they are the 9th strongest defensive side.
Nottingham Forest are the second highest scorers in the bottom half of the division (less only than Hull) but only three sides have conceded more than them (42).
Leeds United v Nottingham Forest Team News
Neither side has any fresh injury or suspension worries, but both may make changes due to only having 48 hours rest.
The hosts are likely to continue to deploy their 4-2-3-1 formation with Kemar Roofe – who netted against the side’s when they last met –leading the line.
Armand Traore and Jason Cummings will be pushing for starts for Forest, with Daryl Murphy and Barry McKay’s places both at the most risk.
Reason for Leeds United v Nottingham Forest Bets
Leeds are favourites for this match courtesy of the terrible run of form the visitors are on, alongside their poor away record.
Forest are conceding far too many goals and recently the goals have dried up too, while despite the surprise defeat at Birmingham, Leeds are good value for their playoff position at the moment.
Kemar Roofe is the top scorer for Leeds this season with seven Championship goals to date including four in his last five matches.
He hit the winner in the Boxing Day victory at Burton Albion whilst also netting a superb hat-trick at Queen’s Park Rangers – he is a man in form.
At 13/8, this represents good value especially considering the hosts goal scoring threat and Forest’s leaky defence.
