REASON FOR HULL CITY VS MANCHESTER UNITED BETTING TIPS
A late Marouane Fellaini goal gave Manchester United a 2-0 victory in the 1st leg of this EFL Cup semi-final a fortnight ago and that gives Hull City the proverbial mountain to climb as they welcome the Red Devils to the KCOM Stadium for the return.
Draws in their last two Premier League games have all but ended Manchester United’s already slim title hopes, so they will be desperate to claim some silverware in one of the cup competitions.
The Tigers have shown some improved performances under new manager Marco Silva, but they are in the midst of an incredible run of tough fixtures and the injury issues that have plagued them all season show no sign of abating. A trip to Wembley would be nice, but Hull’s priorities lie elsewhere at present.
The bookies certainly anticipate Manchester United having few problems securing their passage to a final showdown against either Southampton or Liverpool, with the Red Devils a best price of 11/20 with Betway to win on the night. The draw can be backed at 7/2, also with Betway, whilst a Hull City victory is a whopping 6/1 with bet365.
The Red Devils have to be fancied to win here, so backing them -1 on the Asian Handicap at 9/10 with bet365 looks a good option. With that bet, you will have a winner should the visitors win the game by a margin of two goals or more, but still get your stake back in full should they win by any single goal margin.
One would expect Hull to have a go early on here and Manchester United could be content to defend their 1st leg advantage before looking to kill off the game. Backing the 2nd Half as the Highest Scoring half at 11/10 with Paddy Power looks a decent option, as Hull could be increasingly exposed after the break as they chase the game.
In terms of a Correct Score, a 2-0 win for Jose Mourinho’s men is priced at 15/2 with BetVictor, which looks like the sort of final score we could be looking at here.
In the Anytime Goalscorer market, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is available at 19/20 with Coral. For Hull, Abel Hernandez is probably the likeliest player to get his name on the scoresheet and he can be backed at 3/1 with Paddy Power.
