Holland Top the Polls and are a Must Eurovision Bet
We are not talking about the Eurovision 2019 betting odds tweet of small-scale Facebook pages but dedicated Eurovision fan-sites which contain polls and surveys with enormous sample sizes.
The best of these is unquestionably Eurovisionworld.com whose poll has called the Eurovision result correctly for three of the past four years. An exception was 2016 when their poll declared Russian the winner and eventual winners, Ukraine, second. But there was only one percentage point between them and Russia did finish a close-up third.
Polls that Pay
This time around they have the Netherlands topping their 140,000+ poll by a clear-cut 21 percentage points. Russia and Italy follow with 7%, Switzerland and Sweden have 6%. This makes the 2019 Dutch act the most popular ever with this particular poll. And it is pretty much the same story with every other poll, with a meaningful survey size, you will find.
For the record the Dutch song song is called Arcade and it’s performed by 25-year-old Duncan Laurence but if those Eurovision 2019 polls are right again, it’s more information than the casual punter needs. Of course they need to know the price and, across the industry, it is 15/8 best with Paddy Power bookmakers.

Italy look a good ‘Top Four’ bet on Eurovision 2019
However, the above top price on Holland might not last but there are many other Eurovision 2019 betting opportunities to be had. Backing Italy for a top-three finish is a good starting point. With 7% of Eurovisionworld.com’s poll they sit in joint second amongst the most popular acts and the country has enjoyed a very good run in the competition in recent years.
They finished fifth in 2018, sixth in 2017, third in 2015 and second in 2011. So you have to conclude the 13/8 (at the Betfair Exchange) about them finishing in the top-four is huge. You could also back the Italian’s each-way where bet365* will give you a quarter of the odds and place terms of 1-2-3-4. But as we don’t think they can win, this could be a case of fools-gold.

66’s? No Way Norway
But here at Betfinder.co.uk we are quite partial to backing a bigger priced country each-way in the Eurovision 2019 betting lists. This year that pick will be Norway at 66/1 at bet365*. The seventh most popular country in the bible which is the Eurovisionworld.com poll is Norway who won the competition back in 2009.
The Norway Eurovision 2019 song consists of a trio of singers who are joined on stage by enthusiastic dancers and a marching band has that vital Eurovision ingredient, quirkiness. It was the only reason why Israel prevailed in 2018 and it should help to see the Scandinavian country score highly.
Latvia for a wooden spoon?
With two semi-finals beforehand there will be no Eurovision 2019 betting markets on which country will finish last on finals night until shortly before the show gets underway.
But you will be able to have a Eurovision 2019 bet on which countries will progress from their semi-finals. Here, whatever you do, do not back Latvia who are utterly friendless in the polls and something of a laughing stock amongst Twitter trolls.
