Reason for Crystal Palace v Man City Betting Tips
This all-Prem FA Cup tie pits the league’s worst home side against one of the strongest on the road. Sam Allardyce’s arrival at the club hasn’t had the sort of impact the Palace fans were hoping for. After last weekend’s loss to Everton, the London side have now lost their last four games against Premier League opposition.
Pep Guardiola has had his own critics this season, but did manage to silence them somewhat with last week’s display against Totttenham. His tactics were spot on, playing a high-pressing top four who didn’t let Spurs play out from the back.
Selhurst Park isn’t a happy place at the moment, and the City players could feed off that with a quick start. They managed to sweep aside an out of sorts West Ham last round, with three goals in the first half. Back City to start quickly again, and score within the first 30 minutes at 5/4 with William Hill.
Given Palace’s woeful home form, it’s no surprise that City are a short price to win, with William Hill’s 6/10 the best odds available. With City averaging 3.45 goals on the road this season, and playing against a struggling Palace side, a better bet would be on the goals market.
You can get City to score 3 or more at 9/4 with Paddy Power. Don’t look too far for first goalscorer either – star striker Sergio Aguero has netted 10 times in his last 11 FA Cup appearances.
