Free tips World Cup 2018 Semi Final Preview: France v Belgium Betting Predictions
Entertaining draw and extra-time could be on the cards
France face neighbouring Belgium in Saint Petersburg on Tuesday evening (7pm Kick-off) with a place in the final of World Cup 2018 at stake. Whoever wins this clash will also go into Sunday’s final against either England or Croatia as favourites to win the trophy. Here’s our run down of this exciting match along with our France v Belgium betting predictions and tips.
France v Belgium Betting Predictions
Match Result (90-minutes) – Draw @ 9/4 with bet365*
France had what was a relatively comfortable 2-0 victory over Uruguay at the quarter-final stage, with the South Americans lacking in a significant goal threat in the absence of Edinson Cavani and then undone by a disastrous goalkeeping error from Fernando Muslera in allowing Antoine Griezmann’s shot to slip through his hands and into the net for France’s second goal.
Belgium faced a sterner test from five-times world champions Brazil in their quarter-final, but fully merited their 2-1 win as their ‘Golden Generation’ won for the fifth consecutive game in Russia.
Other France v Belgium Betting Predictions
This is a difficult game to call and although neither team has yet been taken to extra-time nor penalties at these finals, that could well occur in St. Petersburg. Backing the draw at 90-minutes at 9/4 (3.25) with bet365* could be worth a small World Cup bet.
That’s not to say that goals could be scarce and a ‘Correct Score’ bet of 2-2 (again, in the 90-minutes) might be worth a flutter at 16/1 also with bet365*. In a similar vein, backing the Draw and Both Teams to Score at 18/5 with BetVictor is another betting option I will be considering for this one.
In a World Cup competition when the football hierarchy at the the top of the game is starting to change, backing French teenager Kylian Mbappe at 12/5 (3.40) as an ‘Anytime Goalscorer’ with Paddy Power could also make sense.
