Free tips Horse Racing Tips for Glorious Goodwood 1st August 2020

1.50pm Goodwood – Tommy G (e/w) at 9/2 Boylesports (5 places)
Those keen to take on the favourite will surely be pinning their each-way hopes on the 2018 winner of this race Tommy G, who also finished runner-up in 2017 and third last year. The seven-year-old ran a really eye-catching third at Ayr last time and off joint-bottom weight he should be right there in the thick of it.
The Charlie hills-trained Rewaayat will of course be all the rage but he is stepping up in class and has taken quite a hike in the weights after his Salisbury victory, while Batchelor Boy under Ryan Moore is an interesting runner for the Middleham Park syndicate.
3.35pm Goodwood – Watan & Wedding Date (e/w) 9/1 & 25/1 William Hill (7 places!)
In a 28-runner cavalry charge you can be excused backing more than one selection, so on this occasion awe are going to recommend two.
Richard Hannon’s Watan is essentially a Group horse racing in a Handicap and Hannon would dearly love to train the winner of this race for Al Shaqab racing. The four-year-old ran a superb race behind Nahaarr at Newbury and should actually be a lot closer to him in the betting.
Also trained by Hannon is the Middleham Park-owned Wedding Date and she looks like a filly that is right on the cusp of landing another big-field handicap. Theodore Ladd takes off a useful 3lbs off her back and she looks well overpriced at around the 33/1 mark.
Meraas and Swindler are also hard to ignore, while Chairmanoftheboard will probably run into the places once more.
4.10pm Goodwood – Cold Front (win) (Non-Runner)
Cold Front runs in the same colours as One Master who was successful at Goodwood yesterday, and the Lael Stable can get the double up with this William Haggas-trained runner.
A winner at Haydock a fortnight ago, Cold Front should fit right into the handicapping sphere quite nicely and this is a great opportunity for the young colt.
King Ragnar is running out of his skin this season, while Sir Michael Stoute’s Society Lion cannot be left out of any deliberations over the winner.
* Update: Cold Front is now a non-runner so our money will be on our the other two fancies.
