Liverpool Look a Decent Bet to Retain their Premier League Title
There’s not a great deal of positive news to be said when it comes to the coronavirus, but few football fans will bemoan the fact that, as a consequence of the pandemic’s impact on the sporting world in the spring, no sooner has one season finished than another is about to start. Just scroll to the bottom of this page for all our Premier League 2021 predictions and best bets for the new season.
Last season Liverpool already had the Premier League trophy all but engraved with their name well before the league was suspended. They seem to be the most settled of the leading clubs and should again be strong, but the casing pack will surely be in closer attendance this season.
Premier League 2021 Predictions
Manchester City go into the new season as favourites for the title at 4/5 with Boylesports, but they are undergoing various changes in personnel (potentially including the signing of one Lionel Messi) and it shouldn’t be forgotten that they struggled to recover from going behind in matches on a number of occasions last term.
In addition, the Champions League remains Man City’s raison d’etre a that could prove detrimental to their domestic ambitions in what could be a very congested fixture list as the season progresses.
Liverpool have less need to dabble in the transfer market than their rivals this summer and that stability makes them look a decent 2020/21 Premier League bet at 23/10 with 888Sport to retain their title.
Top 4 Finish Bet
Chelsea have made some exciting signings and could be the best of the rest, but the 12/1 with bet365 bookmakers* to win the Premier League doesn’t appeal.
Manchester United showed definite signs of improvement after the enforced Covid-19 shutdown last term, but they still look a long way short of title-winning quality and should be avoided at 20/1 with Betway.
Indeed, rather than Manchester United, improving Arsenal under Mikel Arteta could appeal at 13/4 with 888Sport to secure a Top 4 Finish.

Relegation Betting Tips
At the other end of the table, although Leeds United look to have enough about them to avoid being dragged too deep into a relegation dogfight (in fact they should be pushing for a Top 10 Finish, for which they can be backed at odds of 9/4 with BetVictor), the same can’t be said about the other newly promoted duo of West Bromwich Albion and Fulham.
Burnley always seem to defy the doom-mongers, but the Clarets have an ageing squad and Sean Dyche has only a limited transfer budget to work with. They could be worth an interest at 7/2 with Betway for the drop.
Burnley, never noted for being particularly prolific in front of goal in the Premier League, could also be worth backing in the ‘Lowest Scoring Team’ market at 12/1 with BetFred.
Top Goalscorer Betting Tip
The Top Goalscorer market is always popular among punters and Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (who looks set to stay despite yet having put pen to paper on a new contract) looks decent value at 6/1 with bet365*.
