REASON FOR HULL CITY V EVERTON BETTING TIPS:
As we reach the end of 2016, Hull City play host to Everton in a game in which Mike Phelan’s men need to avoid defeat if they are to have any hope of not being bottom of the Premier League table going into the New Year.
It all started so promisingly for Hull, with back-to-back wins in their first two games of the campaign. Since then there’s been just one victory in 16 games since and the Tigers now find themselves propping up the table. Aside from a 2-0 win away to Swansea City in their second match of the season, Hull have also failed to keep a single clean sheet this season to date.
Everton also started the season well before falling away but, with six points from their last three matches, the Toffees are looking forward to 2017 with a greater sense of optimism again after having endured a run that had seen them collect just one victory in their previous 10 games.
Everton go into this game in 7th spot, but that’s a full 7 points adrift of the Top 6. If they are to haul themselves back into contention to challenge on that front, winning games like this one at the KCOM Stadium are fairly imperative.
Ronald Koeman’s team are a best price of Evens to win this game with Paddy Power and they do look to have too much creative and attacking quality for a Hull team that are basically willing in spirit, but lacking in top-flight ability.
The Tigers are averaging just 0.78 goals per game this term, the lowest in the Premier League and, with their lack of attacking quality, they could struggle to breach Everton’s new-look back three. A Hull v Everton correct score tip of 2-0 to the visitors has some appeal at 9/1 with BetVictor.
As for an Anytime Goalscorer, Romelu Lukaku will surely fancy his chances of getting among the goals against a team that concedes at a rate of 2.17 goals per game. At 13/10 with Coral, that’s definitely a punt worth considering.
Neither of these teams is particularly impressive before the interval, with Hull have only been leading at half-time in 11% of their matches this season and Everton little better at 17%. Backing a Half-time Draw at 6/5 with Stan James might not be a bad bet.
HULL CITY V EVERTON STATS
56% of Hull’s home matches have featured Over 2.5 Goals this season, which is the same percentage of games that have gone Over 2.5 Goals for Everton away from home.
Both Teams To Score (BTTS) has occurred in 56% of Hull’s matches at the KCOM Stadium this season, but in only 44% of Everton’s away games.
