Liverpool welcome Manchester City to Anfield in the Premier League’s final game of the calendar year and it promises to be a blockbuster.
Both sides will be aiming to stay in touch with league pacesetters Chelsea but the recent head-to-head record between the sides suggests the hosts will be favourites, having won the last three league meetings between the two. In fact, City’s last win at the stadium came in 2003 – when a Nicholas Anelka doubled secured a dramatic victory.
