REASON FOR JUVENTUS VS ROMA BETTING TIPS
Serie A’s top two teams clash in Serie A, with Juventus currently four points clear of their nearest challengers. It might not be quite a title decider at this stage of the season, but it would be difficult to envisage Juventus being caught were they to extend their lead to seven points.
The Old Lady have a 100% home record in Serie A this season, with eight wins from eight and their total winning run in Serie A games at Juventus Stadium now stretches back an astonishing 24 matches. They’ve also scored at least two goals in each of their last 12 home games in Serie A. The Juventus/ Juventus double result has also paid out in 12 of Juve’s last 14 home matches (available here at 9/5 with BetVictor).
Juventus v Roma Betting Preview Video:
Roma are in very decent form themselves, with eight wins in their last 10 Serie A matches, including a 1-0 win at home to AC Milan last time out. Their away form has been more solid than spectacular, with 11 points from a possible 24 on the road. They’ve lost three away games this season, but those are the only Serie A matches in which they’ve suffered defeat in their last 33 top-flight games.
These are also the highest scoring teams in Serie A this season to date, with Juventus having scored 35 goals (at an average of 2.19 per game) and Roma 36 (2.25). A 2-2 draw looks worth a speculative punt at 16/1 with William Hill.
Both teams can also call on prolific strikers, with Gonzalo Higuain having bagged nine goals this season and Edin Dzeko already with a dozen goals for Roma. There is also plenty of additional firepower in both teams.
A draw wouldn’t be a disastrous result for either team and with Juventus still without several key players, this could be the game where their long winning run at the Juventus Stadium comes to an end. A draw looks a distinct possibility.
Another way of getting Roma onside here would be to back them on the Asian Handicap +0.75. With that bet, you get a full win should Roma win or the match ends as a draw, but you would also get the compensation of half your stake returned were they to lose by any one-goal margin.
JUVENTUS VS ROMA STATS:
Juventus are averaging a very healthy 2.88 goals per game at home this season, but Roma are no mugs on the road, with 2.25 goals per game on average themselves.
Despite Juventus’s fine home form, Both Teams To Score (BTTS) has occurred in 75% of their games at the Juventus Stadium this season. Roma’s away games have seen BTTS occur in 62% of their matches.
JUVENTUS TEAM NEWS
Dani Alves, Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli are all sidelined for this game, whilst it may be deemed too soon for Paulo Dybala and Marko Pjaca. Miralem Pjanic is set to start in midfield, while Medhi Benatia could well feature at the back.
ROMA TEAM NEWS
For the Giallorossi, Alessandro Florenzi, Abdullahi Nura and Leandro Paredes are out, while Thomas Vermaelen, Bruno Peres and Totti are awaiting assessment on their injuries. Mohamed Salah has made a swift recovery from injury and is in the squad.
