Top Premier League Goalscorer Betting Tips:
Harry Kane – 3/1 @ Paddy Power
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 7/1 (Each Way) @ Betway
Jamie Vardy – 40/1 (Each Way) @ bet365*
Kane is Able
The market leader going into the season is Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane and he certainly ticks all the right boxes. The World Cup Golden Boot winner finished second to Liverpool’s Mo Salah last season, but it’s his record since bursting on the Premier League scene four years ago that really needs to be appreciated.
In his last four league campaigns, Kane has tallied 21-25-29 and 30 goals respectively, finishing runner-up in the goalscoring charts in the first and last of those seasons and the leading goalscorer in the other two.

Other key factors in Kane’s favour is that there is no real prospect of his position coming under serious threat as Tottenham’s first-choice striker, he rarely misses games, takes Tottenham’s penalties and has the established supply line of Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min behind him. The 3/1 on offer with Paddy Power might not be hugely attractive odds given a long-term injury could scupper any bet, but Kane is clearly the man to beat.

Best Of The Rest
So what of the other leading contenders? Mo Salah was superb last season of course, but for a player who never previously scored more than 15 league goals in a season to replicate that sort of form might be asking a bit much. There also have to be doubts as to whether he came back too soon from his Champions’ League injury heartache in order to feature for Egypt at World Cup 2018.
Injuries are also a concern for potential backers of Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero, as is possible competition for a starting role with fellow contender Gabriel Jesus. Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku is likely to be first-choice under Jose Mourinho, but he is often seen as a flat track bully who struggles against better defences and might struggle to improve much on last season’s tally of 16 Premier League goals under his manager’s often negative tactics.
A better each-way option (most bookies offer 1/4 the odds for a place 1,2,3,4) could be Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who made an encouraging start with 10 goals in 13 appearances after signing from Borussia Dortmund in January, having notched 13 goals in 16 appearances in the Bundesliga earlier in the campaign. At 7/1 with Betway, the Gabonese striker is certainly worth an interest.
Jamie Vardy could also be worth an each-way flutter at 40/1 with bet365*, having finished in the top four goal scorers in two of the previous three seasons.
