US Open Golf 2019 Predictions
Winner – Dustin Johnson 9/1
US Open Golf 2019 Betting Preview
Two-time defending champion Brooks Koepka (9/1 at bet365*) will be out to secure a third straight title in the tournament, a feat only previously achieved by Scotland’s Willie Anderson way back in 1903-05.
Brooks Koepka is certainly in good enough form to win another US Open, having also won the US PGA Championship just a few weeks ago. The 29-year-old Floridian comes to life in the majors and he’ll actually be attempting to win his fifth major tournament in the last nine played this week!
Koepka’s victory at the US PGA Championship wasn’t as straightforward as it might have been though. Having led by seven strokes going into the final round, Dustin Johnson (9/1) cut the deficit to just one shot with three to play, only to then bogey the next two holes.
Johnson’s only major title to date was in winning the US Open in 2016 at Oakmont. He should have won at Pebble Beach in 2010 when he led by four strokes with a round to go. DJ has also had a tied-second, a third and a tied-fourth in the US Open in the last five years.
Having also finished second at the Masters, Johnson now has a grand slam of runner-up finishes in majors.
There are always question marks as to DJ’s mental strength in the majors, but there’s no doubting his record at Pebble Beach, where he’s finished inside the top-10 on 10 occasions in 13 starts, winning twice. Johnson does look the pick of the front-runners on this course.

Other US Open Golf 2019 Predictions & Contenders
Another leading contender has to be Rory McIlroy (9/1 at William Hill), who won the US Open in 2011 with a score of -16 and comes into this year’s championship on the back of a fantastic performance in winning last week’s Canadian Open.
However, McIlroy has missed the cut in his last three attempts at the US Open and the firm and fast conditions at Pebble Beach haven’t seemed to suit him in the past.
When Tiger Woods (12/1) won the US Open at Pebble Beach in 2000 by a staggering 15 strokes (the biggest winning margin in any major), he played arguably the greatest golf of his career. In three AT&Ts here since that victory he hasn’t made the top-10 though.
Matt Kuchar (45/1 at bet365*) could be an interesting each-way US Open Golf bet, with his long game looking well suited to Pebble Beach and his recent form being perhaps the best of his career.
Others who could be worth considering as each-way bets include Jordan Spieth (22/1 at bet365*), Xander Schauffele (28/1 with bet365*), Jason Day (35/1 at bet365*) and Matthew Fitzpatrick (125/1 at Betfair).
Good luck with your US Open Golf 2019 bets!
