- 6th place – Lincoln City / 75pts
League Two sees Exeter City, Notts County, Coventry City and Lincoln City battling it out to join the automatically promoted Accrington Stanley, Luton Town and Wycombe Wanderers in League One next season.
On Saturday, Lincoln are up against Exeter at Sincil Bank, whilst Coventry welcome Notts County to the Ricoh Arena in their respective semi-final 1st leg games.
The League Two promotion betting is predictably tight, with the bookies having no clear favourite. Coventry can be backed at a best price of 5/2 with BetVictor, with Lincoln also offered at 5/2 with William Hill. Notts County are available at 100/30 with BetFred
All four teams are in reasonable form and a decent case could be made for each of them going up, but given their recent successes in various competitions, Lincoln could be the pick for the League Two outright promotion betting.
Last season they were crowned National League champions and had a fantastic FA Cup campaign that saw them eliminate Oldham Athletic, Ipswich Town, Brighton & Hove Albion and Burnley en route to the quarter-finals. This season they’ve already been to Wembley, where they beat Shrewsbury Town 1-0 in the final of the EFL Trophy.
