Rising Trend in Live Casino Gaming – Spotlight on Game Shows & Live Roulette
The latest analytical findings from SevenJackpots Casino platform indicate an escalating interest in live casino gaming. Notably, game shows and live roulette are at the forefront of this surge.
Combined, these two gaming genres accounted for a significant 57.39% of the total online casino transactions in the initial ten months of the previous year. This percentage rose to 59.6% when focusing on the final quarter (August to October 2022).
Leading the charge were live games provided by Evolution and its subsidiary, Ezugi. For the ten-month timeframe, game shows and roulette games contributed 34.48% and 22.91% respectively. These figures adjusted to 32.81% and 26.79% for the last quarter.
Blackjack secured the third spot, accumulating 16.11% of the turnover from January to October. This was followed by baccarat, which represented 7.45% of the total. However, in an interesting twist, the gap between these two card games began to narrow in the final three months. Baccarat’s stake increased by 1.59% to 9.04%, whereas blackjack experienced a decline of 5.74%, settling at 10.37%.
Slot games, distinct for not requiring a live dealer, maintained a steady fifth place. Their shares were 4.59% and 4.54% across the two comparative durations.
The data further suggests that roulette witnessed the most significant surge in the top two, increasing by 3.88% to 26.79% for the last quarter, while game shows saw a dip of 1.67%, landing at 32.81%.

Highlight on Top-Performing Games: Lightning Roulette & Crazy Time
Lightning Roulette by Evolution is making waves as the leading contributor among all digital casino games, consistently generating roughly an eighth of total operator revenues. Following closely is Crazy Time, a game show also from Evolution, bringing in about half of Lightning Roulette’s revenue.
Recognized with multiple awards, Lightning Roulette merges live dealer play with RNG mechanics. It retains traditional European roulette rules, but with added opportunities for increased wins.
Each round initiates with lightning targeting up to five numbers, substituting their regular multiplier with a bonus multiplier, which can escalate up to 500x. This game is broadcasted in real-time from a studio adorned in a black and gold Art Deco theme with captivating visual elements. The gameplay interweaves a live dealer and a roulette wheel with virtual RNG mechanics dictating lucky numbers and payouts.
In the initial ten months of 2022, Lightning Roulette contributed to 15.68% of total turnovers, though it saw a decline to 11.06% in subsequent months. This drop might be credited to the rising popularity of games like XXXTreme Lightning Roulette and Instant Roulette.
On the other hand, Crazy Time, which integrates both live and RNG components, comes with a 54-segment money wheel and a 2-reel Top Slot in its primary game. It also offers four distinct bonus rounds. Consistently, Crazy Time’s contribution hovered around 6.41% from January to October, slightly increasing to 6.56% from August to October 2022.
